Work In Progress Evening - A triple bill of work in development by members of our artist development network, Troop.

Lineup includes:

Magical Honey
Choreographed by Krishna Zivraj-Nair and presented by Sanskruti Dance

A young Maya meets the celestial being Saraswati who helps her to discover her own magic to overcome a rather frightening foe! Watch out for all kinds of surprises - maybe even a peacock or two. Magical Honey includes dance, magic, story-telling and original music.

Suitable for children aged 5+ and their families. Supported by a Troop New Ideas Award.

Amber
Choreographed & performed by Anna Melander
Sometimes you can feel like your own life has been put 'on hold', in a bubble, waiting, on Amber. Not stopped, just on hold. And you wait; will the light turn green or red? Outside, the World is a big, scary place, wars are raging, the natural world is crumbling. That sense of insignificance you are feeling is magnificent. How could you possibly make the world a better place? When you feel so small? When you're stuck. Waiting. On Amber...

Suitable for Age 12+

Recursion
Devised and performed by Clio Lloyd-Jacob

Three characters reinterpret Alice Oswald’s poem Dunt: A Poem for a Dried Up River, using ‘river’ as a metaphor for creativity, and acknowledging their part in generations of oblivious destruction. Their relationships move through patterns of othering to integration, in a swelling energy that floats and shifts the obstacles to the river’s flow. Combining puppetry, shadow play and live action, this performance is a love poem to the moment, and offers creative play in response to personal and environmental loss.
