Why We Need Your Support

Cambridge Junction is home to over 400 gigs, comedians, theatre and dance shows and everything in between in J1 and J2 each year. It’s also a hive of activity behind the scenes…

Our J3 space supports emerging artists, our building houses five associate companies making art in the local area, and four brilliant young Apprentices are getting their first experience of the arts in our offices above J1.

From a first taste of live performance through our Funded Ticket scheme through to our year-long Apprenticeships, young people are at the heart of Cambridge Junction. Support our Creative Learning work and run a schools workshops, a project with our long-running group for young disabled people, a showcases which gets young bands on the stage for the first time, Junction Young Company rehearsals, a year-long Apprenticeship scheme. Or donate and run a really targeted project – in local hospitals, with young refugees, care leavers, or young people on the Pupil Premium.

Or donate to be a part of making great art. Support emerging theatre-makers, or bring musicians at the top of their game to Cambridge.

The turnover at Cambridge Junction is £2.5million. We earn over 60% of our income through events and activities, all of which is reinvested back into the mission of the charity: to share great performances with our audiences and support emerging artists and young people to get involved with the arts. 30% is made up from grants – from Arts Council England and from Cambridge City Council. The final 10% gap is where your support makes a huge and vital difference.

That 10% represents great acts on stage at affordable prices, workshops for young people learning to express themselves through music and drama, and a first opportunity for an 18 year old school leaver to get an apprenticeship.

You can make all these great things happen: donate online, sign up your company for our fantastic corporate memberships or partner schemes, or support a project which means a lot to you.
