Club Urania - April

Date:Fri 29 Apr
Time:8pm
Venue:J3
Price:Pay What You Feel

Enter the Orbit of Urania, Cambridge’s newest queer space.

A monthly night of music and performance for LGBTQ+ people and their allies.

You can expect an otherworldly open mic with opportunities to get up and share your stuff. If you’re keen to perform you can email Celia Willo here.

There will be live performance from the ace Catherine Hoffman, with a work in progress performance of her new work The Wormhold of my Transformation. A series of tracks/songs and texts exploring catharsis and crisis within the British landscape- a turning point and opportunity for bringing out transition and change- channelling the spirit of land and song back to warrior queens,  witches, avenged outcasts to burnt out carers – the wild women’s voice of Britain in flux. What do we choose to fight for and why?

Plus further performance presented in collaboration with Wysing Arts Centre.

The night will end with dancing to heavenly mixes from resident DJs..

Club Urania is a collaboration between Cambridge Junction, Wysing Arts Centre and other queer organisations, artists and promoters; Celia Willo, Diarmuid Hester, Hannah Wallis and Roeland van der Heiden.
