What can we say about these Cambridge Ska legends that hasn’t already been said? Just in case you’ve been living on a different planet for the last 20 years or so they always guarantee to give the whole audience a great time and a great party with a few surprises! You WILL want to dance, stomp, skank and sing along! Gigs are too many to mention, but headlining at the legendary Skamouth is one of them! Here are some of  their influences: Classic Ska, 2Tone and Reggae including Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat and The Selecter.

Skasouls UK

Skasouls UK are a 7-piece Ska band from Bucks that formed in 2010. They have built a very strong following and reputation, boasting 5 out of 5 star ratings from over 300 performances. Skasouls UK play an eclectic genre of music from Ska, Reggae, Trojan and some Two Tone, performing covers from the likes of Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners and The Selecter. Skasouls UK’s own songs have had an incredible impact on the market, featuring in the Top 40 Reggae Charts and on BBC Radio 2. You can catch Skasouls UK playing at clubs, rallies and festivals - just be prepared to have aching legs the next day from a night of dancing as these guys will really get you going!  You can listen to some of their live performances, covers and originals on major channels such as Spotify, iTunes and YouTube.

The Marching SKAletons

The Marching SKAletons (Brighton) are a dynamic  band, full of fun and character.  Horn led,  focus is on 60s Jamaican instrumentals plus originals and some with a guest vocalist. Formed in 2009 the band have performed  with Madness at several of their events aswell as being the house band for T20 cricket at the County Cricket Ground in Hove. Other prestigious gigs include the Brighton Skanival weekender (and other events for Brighton SKAtrain), Glastonbury and the Notting Hill Carnival on Gaz's Rockin' Blues stage.  Band trivia: Band member Ricky Walker (Ex The Potato 5) guested onstage with Maroon Town at Cambridge Ska Festival 3!

Frontline Sound System

DJ John ‘Chids/Chiddy’ Chidlow boasts the biggest and best Boss Reggae and Ska Sound System in Cambridge. (and probably the world!) Chids (and guests) have become  regulars at Cambridge Ska Festival djing last year’s events no’s 3 & 4. You will be impressed by his stack of wooden boxed speakers and vinyl delights providing the ideal interval music between bands.
