Black Sheep is an autobiographical story about a black woman re-defining and finding love. Love in all it's forms but foremost self love.

A Black queer womxn who was abandoned for the first time only 7 month old fighting for her survival in a system that wasn’t build to support her. Livia Kojo Alour is speaking on subjects like LGBTQIA+ identity, the repercussions of loosing her parents early on in life and understanding and overcoming institutional and internalised racism. As a queer woman of colour who grew up in a white neighbourhood as the only black child she unpacks stereotypes, dissects otherness, feminism, colourism and trauma. She cleverly tells her story though physical theatre, spoken word, singing and sword swallowing and incorporates humour as well. Her way of overcoming, learning to self love and inspire others with her words builds an exciting bridge between Live Art and Theatre.

Supported by Arts Council England & Jacksons Lane Arts Centre London
